Introduction
If you have a Series 500 or Series 300 handheld monitor, you can span calibrate the Type 1 sensor heads you use with your Series 900 fixed monitor. The only exceptions are ammonia and perchlorethylene. For these Type 1 sensors, you must return them for factory calibration or buy replacements.
To perform a span calibration using a Series 500 or Series 300 handheld monitor, you also need Aeroqual’s calibration accessory (AS R42) with 10ml syringe, tubing (Tygon or PTFE depending on the gas), a gas regulator and gas cylinders.
