Introduction

Use this guide to charge a lithium battery using the 12VDC AC/DC lithium smart charger.

  1. Never charge the battery in a hermetically sealed container.

    • Always charge the battery at temperatures between 0-45°C.

    • Recharge your battery only with the supplied AC/DC adapter.

  2. The battery can be charged with the sensor head on or off.

    • Plug the 12VDC AC/DC lithium smart charger into the monitor base and mains power.

    • Turn the charger on at the mains switch.

    • With the charger plugged in and monitor off, allow 3 hours for the battery to fully charge.

    • The battery can be charged when the monitor is on but it will charge more slowly.

  3. Keep an eye on the smart charger LED status to know when the battery is fully charged. Red LED = Battery is detected and charging

    • Green LED = Battery is fully charged or not detected

    • A fully charged battery runs for about 8 hours depending on the sensor head being used.

    • The battery indicator doesn't represent the remaining battery life.

    • If you have a nickel battery, you can tell it's charging when the battery icon on the monitor's display flashes.
